How we check the information

Guardian Guide aims to explain care information in plain language while preserving its meaning. We prioritise official sources, including GOV.UK, local councils, the NHS and the Care Quality Commission.

Where practical, the journey links to the original source and shows when information was checked. Care law, local services, contact details, funding arrangements, care-home details and CQC information can change. A source date does not guarantee that nothing has changed since that date.

Care-home directory information is a starting point, not a recommendation, assessment or live vacancy check. Read the current CQC profile and confirm needs, availability, fees and funding directly with the responsible organisations.

Report an error

Email guardianguideltd@gmail.com with the page, council or care home concerned, what appears wrong and—if available—a link to the official correction. Please do not include private medical information.

We will review reported errors and correct or remove information where appropriate.
